Mule drawn wagon rides, Crosscut sawing, Mini museum of maple related antiques, Tomahawk throwing, Candle making, Outdoor Craft Vendor area, Children’s game area and activity center, Pet the llamas, Music – traditional fiddle, gospel, dulcimer, 10:00am to 4:00pm, (Call ahead for schedule) and Christian worship service – Sundays 8:00 A.M. – everyone welcome.

And for  your dining pleasures, Pancake Supreme or Waffle Boat Supreme (topped with strawberries or blueberries, ice cream, whipped cream and Pure Maple Syrup ) and Chicken, Port Chop or Pulled Pork Dinners. Available for purchase, Fresh Pure Maple Syrup, maple candy, maple cream, maple cotton candy. Delicious maple home-baked goods and be sure to visit with the craft vendors.

Friday Night On The Square - Spring Edition

A UNIQUE EVENT

This event is unique and offers something for everyone.  The event takes place around the historic Washington County Courthouse.  Traffic is closed off to allow people to visit and shop at the many businesses and booths set up around the Square.  It is reminiscent of the time when residents would come to the Square to do their shopping on Fridays.

Pekin, Indiana dates its 4th of July Celebration back to 1830, marking it as the nation’s oldest consecutive Independence Day event. Food and Craft Booths, flea and artisan markets, inflatable bouncers, bungi jump, dunk tank and games. WHOLESOME FAMILY ACTIVITIES

The Old Settlers' Days Festival will be held in Salem Indiana on the grounds of the John Hay Center. The Old Settlers' Days Festival will once again be focused on wholesome family activities with a special emphasis on teaching, sharing and the pioneer heritage of Washington County. Visitors will have the opportunity to see blacksmiths at work, quilting, wood-carving.  Historical reenactments encourage visitors to immerse themselves into a Pioneer lifestyle if only for a few hours. Local arts and crafts, antique and flea market items.

Saturday, October 22nd is “Oktoberfest”.  This is our longest running event.  Celebrating the “Beck” German Heritage. Featuring old fashion apple butter making, wooden spoon making, cornhusk doll making and lots of local crafters along with the Washington County Artisans Farmers Market. Campfire beans and Beck's Mill cornbread. Our 5th annual decorated pumpkin contest will be at noon for the children.
