The Destination is having an end of Summer Porch Sale every Friday and Saturday in October from 10:00am - 5:00pm. The Destination is a vintage wedding and event venue and farmhouse bed and breakfast in Southern Indiana.


The porch sale will include many vintage and unique items like rusty tools, wood boxes, wicker, windows, doors, indoor & outdoor furniture, suitcases, planters, wreaths, florals, tables, chairs, vintage toys, metal containers, and more!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 12 for the Town of Pekin's annual Trunk or Treat, and stay for a showing of Disney's "Halloweentown!" . The 
Trunk or Treat will be from 5:00 - 7:00 PM and the movie will start right after.



‍‍Looking for a Haunting Adventure this Halloween? October 12th


Join Salem High School Disney Club and Boy Scout Troop 4029 at Buffalo Trace Park on October 12nd from dusk to 10:30pm for a haunted trail that will have you running through the woods!


The ghouls and goblins will appear for the cost of only $5 cash/ $6 card per person. Proceeds will support the youth group in their other adventures. We hope to see you there. Kids five and under are free.

Beck's Mill Artist Series - October 13th

Artist Topic - The Blacksmith House


Join Beck's Mill this season for a blend of artistic activities as you learn the history and myths of Beck's Mill. Monthly from April to October, we'll explore a new site while expressing our hidden talents through creative writing, sketching, painting, music, collage and more. Learn about the history of the Mill, the science of the water source, the botany from natives to Essie's imports, as well as the culture and myths surrounding our local treasure.


Cost is $15 per session, or $75 for the season. (All proceeds benefit the mill, minus the supplies. Dusty does this strictly as a volunteer of the historic Beck’s Mill.)

‍Join the Salem Speedway for the 36th Annual Red Ball Recycling Halloween 200 presented by NOS Energy Drink. They will be on the track to present a $200 fastest qualifier bonus. Please stop by our tent and DRIVE our real race car simulator!! The fastest lap time on the simulator will also receive a bonus!

The Boo Bash Trick or Treating will be from 5:00 - 6:15pm on the grounds of the John Hay Center. The Halloween Parade starts at 6:30. Celebrate Halloween with the Salem Halloween Happenings.

‍Celebrate the Beck German Heritage at Beck's Mill

 

Music all day, spinning, knitting, crocheting, blacksmithing, tomahawk throwing demonstrations. Parking lot activities: Featuring Jason Hardin’s campfire beans, Cornmeal bake off drop off at 11 am to 11:45 am. Entry must contain at least 1/2 cup of Becks Mill cornmeal (white or yellow), inc recipe and in a non returnable dish. Prize will be given. Cornmeal can be purchased at the mill or Nana’s This n That Shop on the square. Leftovers will be served with the campfire beans. Flea & craft vendors.

‍First Annual Masquerade Ball at Hunter's Ridge Winery - October 31st

Get ready for dancing and revelry! We are excited to be hosting the first annual Masquerade Ball! Don your masks and garb and enjoy music, dancing and wine!

 

As a reminder, by law Hunter's Ridge cannot allow any outside alcohol on their premises, so please refrain from bringing your own alcohol. Hunter's Ridge is located at 9945 E Garrison Hollow Rd, Salem, IN 47167.
