Summer Comes alive in Washington County | Summer comes alive in Washington County with a season full of family-friendly festivals, outdoor entertainment, local traditions, and community celebrations. At the heart of it all is the annual Washington County Farmers and Merchants Fair, one of Southern Indiana's premier summer events. The fair features 4-H exhibits, livestock shows, horse events, arts and crafts displays, baking competitions, carnival rides, midway games, grandstand entertainment, and activities for all ages. Admission to the fair is traditionally free, making it an affordable destination for families and visitors alike Â
