Summer comes alive in Washington County with a season full of family-friendly festivals, outdoor entertainment, local traditions, and community celebrations. At the heart of it all is the annual Washington County Farmers and Merchants Fair, one of Southern Indiana's premier summer events. The fair features 4-H exhibits, livestock shows, horse events, arts and crafts displays, baking competitions, carnival rides, midway games, grandstand entertainment, and activities for all ages. Admission to the fair is traditionally free, making it an affordable destination for families and visitors alike

‍Over 100 beautiful quilts will be on display including our Guild’s 2026 Challenge Quilts that celebrate USA’s 250 years of Freedom and our Mystery BOM quilts—same pattern but all so very wonderfully different!

The featured quilter, Carmela Broadus, will show her amazing creations —don’t miss this —she is an amazing quilter and past Award Winner!
